Hi!

Okay first off - a new favorite link: Deal-with-an-Existential-Crisis

And, I just got accepted by The Figment festival to perform TIL DEATH DO YOU PART - MARRY YOURSELF!
FIGMENT NYC
June 12 through 14 -- 2009

Things are cooking for Sex Crimes.

I don't have swine flu.

I will most likely be going to New Orleans in the summer to be in a play.  More info when I know more.  I was raised with air conditioning and I suppose living in a hot humid place will come back to me like riding a bicycle... through a swamp.  I'll be the one walking through the city naked except for platform shoes and some Vick's vap-o-rub or huddled in a sweater inside a car in between trips to the refrigerated theatre and Whole Foods.  Of course, I am excited.

Maybe Burning Man.

See you round?

Cesar Salad - A short film

Cesar Salad - A short film
... that I started a year and a half ago and shelved when the anvil of reality was thrown by the editor in me - it needed more. I worked on other stuff. I ignored it 'til the guilt was too much. Finally, as part of my decision to make 2007 the year I finish things, I sat down with Nicole Blackman, the macguyver sister whom the Goddess has lovingly placed in my life, and we hashed out the script to make the old footage work.

Here are the pictures from that shoot, last Sunday.

I directed. I was surrounded by the immense talents of my DP, Tom Guiney and AD/All Around MagicMan, Mitchell Reichler, PA++ Octavio, PA Gilberto and Irene ready to go with the make-up when someone was shiny, as well as an actress! The cast was gorgeous! The crew worked 18 hours but we got a ton of stuff. There's a movie in there somewhere. Nicole did an amazing job with all her jobs - including food stylist. Who else do you call when you need to serve gangsters their own fingers or pasta to go with worms?

I was hopped up on Dayquil with barely a voice. Coughing had to be postponed. It's almost a week later. Have I cheated it? Where's that lozenge?

Then I went to Atlantic City for $10 roundtrip on a little vacation, but I am back. Achy, but back.

Time to edit. Oh sh*t, I have to return the silver "cloche" dome - probably the most expensive thing on the set after the camera!
